Description of Problem:

I'm trying to set up my minecraft server. I paid for hosting via 123systems.net and I want to make it a tekkit one. I cant seem to figure out how to do it. Its a bukkit.

i have setup a tekkit server correctly and created a ServerStart.command file because im on a mac. Then i went into terminal and typed chmod +x [drag ServerStart.command here]. I then double clicked on ServerStart.command and terminal started up and said this:

I'm having similar issues, although i'm hosting it on my local box for a LAN environment. There is definitly something fubard with the plugins in the fresh copy of 3.0.4

If you remove the mods...ie just copy the jar out of the zip and run it, it works fine. The minute you copy over the mods/config/redpower/buildcraft folders the server dies on startup.

It gives the impression that the nether ores are the problem.

UPDATE:

I found that simply deleting or removing the "mod_NetherOres.jar" file from the mods folder was sufficient to make the server functional and post. There is definitely something wrong with this mod. May have to find the jar and add it independently to see if that works.

For now, the workaround appears to be simply removing nether ores from the server.
