Help starting a local tekkit server, keeps failing.

Ok so i know absolutly nothing about server hosting, but i would like to start a basic local server for my GF and i since we both use the same connectiong/net,

But i cannot for the life of me figure out how to do this. I have verything downloaded but when i start the server it .bat file it says

FAILED TO BIND PORT!

The exception was: java.net.BindException: Cannot assign reuested address: JVM_Bind.

Perhaps a server is already running on that port?

Im not sure how to remedy this at all, so please can someone help me

ok well i took out my ip adress from the server info file and it seems the server is up and running but how do i connect to it?

Type in localhost if your hosting it from your computer, type in the hosting computer's internal ip address for other computers within your local network.
