Technic Launcher Updater has stopped working

Launcher Version: Current .exe version

Operating System: Win7

Java Version: Have 6 and 7 installed i think

Antivirus Program: When i open the .exe file the updater does not load, windows comes up with its checking for solutions box (title of the post is what its checking for) and when the launcher opens it does not connect to MC.net.

I dont know if there is a fix to this or if its just a problem with my connection etc. Please help
