Description of Problem:

When I ckick on the 'launch' button to launch the tekkit server it does not work, it says : 'java' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.

Error Messages:

'java' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.

Well, whetn you right click the 'launch' button and than 'edit' you can edit the words in there.

It normaly says 'java' at the begining. I just replaced 'java' whit the adress of the java bin folder on mypc +/java.exe

So in my case I replaced 'java' by this "C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre1.7.0_04\bin\java.exe"

(whit the ") and then I launched it again and it worked for me.

you also can update your java to Jre 7 it fixed it for me.
