Cannot connect to a friend's Tekkit server. I had to create a batch file to even run the launcher.
Batch consists of:
java -Xmx1G -Xms1G -jar technic-launcher.jar
pause
Launcher pops up, updates, and the game starts just fine, I just cant connect.
Not sure why. Tried darn near everything I can find in the forums. from updating java to trying different builds of Tekkit. Any help would be appreciated.

Java Version: 7u5
Antivirus Program: McAfee (Turned off)
