I have tried to build a forester with a farm and arboretum, and every time it switches the forester really quick with a disk drive. I don't know if there is clashing block ids or what.

Awesome! Thanks for posting your findings!

Update: This did work for the Forestry using the farm for the middle component. For those you need a little more help finding it go to the config file. Then open the forestry file and select the base file, opening in notepad, and then you will find under the block segment "grower=255" change that to "grower=208" and save it. This change without the need for server restart.
