java.io.IOException: Not enough data / End of Stream

Question

Title: java.io.IOException: Not enough data / End of Stream

Version: 3.0.3/3.0.4

OS: Windows 7 64 Bit

Java Version: 1.6.0_27

Description of Problem:

This problem only occurs when playing Tekkit, I can join regular servers just fine. WHat happens is I join my Tekkit server of choice, and I can sometimes remain logged in for about 1 minute, during which time I am (mostly) able to interact with the world, albeit with some lag. For some reason, doors don't seem to work during this period.

Then, I get disconnected, without fail. Every time, it displays an error saying either "java.io.IOException: Not enough data" or "End of Stream." I am then able to rejoin the server, not problem, but I am once again disconnected within a minute.

Error Messages:

java.io.IOException: Not enough data

(Not shown, but also occurs) End of Stream

Error Log:
