Description of Problem:

I installed ait with the max memory it would let me use 1532mb (1.532gb) but it still lags like hell even with clouds off render distance short ETC.

You're using 32-bit Java. It'll let you use 1.5GB max. You need to post a log, check the bit version of Win7 you have, make sure Java matches it, and then add whatever other information you might think is useful.
