.jar not downloading

Description of Problem:

the .jars act like it wont download. i tried deleting .technic and my .minecraft. then is what it ends up happening. it says update failed.

Your reported version of Java doesn't match your launcher log version. Go get rid of the older ones. Then delete your .minecraft folder and reinstall.
