Having some difficulties setting up a Tekkit server

I downloaded Tekkit 3.0.4 and the technic launcher because I wanted to set up a tekkit server from me and my friends. I extracted the files of Tekkit 3.0.4 and ran launch.bat as instructed, but instead of the command prompt opening and doing all of the server stuff (preparing spawn, generating chunks etc.) it opens the command prompt and says this:

C:\Users\NAME\Desktop\Tekkit_Server_3.0.4>java -Xmx3G -Xms2G -jar Tekkit.jar nog

'java' is not recognized as an internal or external command,

C:\Users\NAME\Desktop\Tekkit_Server_3.0.4>pause

Press any key to continue . . .

Then when I press any key, it just closes the command prompt and nothing happens. Is there any way I can get the server to run?

By the way, I have a vanilla server already up if that makes any difference at all.

System path variable. Your Java. Use it.
