Technic.exe won't open due to being unable to update

Operating System: Windows 64x

Java Version: Java 6 Update 24

Antivirus Program: McAfee Antivirus Plus

Description of Problem:

When I click Technic.exe It won't open due to being unable to update it says.

Error Messages:

Technic Launcher Updater has stopped working

(Windows is checking for a solution to the problem)

Error Log:

*None. Was a windows error.*

McAfee's likely the cause of your problems. Disable it, uninstall it, or add exceptions for Java, the launcher, and Minecraft. I'd also update Java (and remove the old ones).

I updated Java. I will try the exceptions. It is the only (for some reason) working antivirus. I should have CA though.

A little stack, It now happens that it would have an error. It is now a technic problem, and I receive it on Technic. I have been using the .jar and it works fine, although I would like to have it on my toolbar.
