Some mods will not load, say "metadata not found"

Question

Posted

Launcher Version: 1.0.1.3

Operating System: Windows 7 64bit

Java Version: 7.0.40.22

Antivirus Program: Avira

Description of Problem:

Select mods refuse to load. I'm using "recommended builds", i've tried reinstalling and it's still exactly the same with the exception that the first few times i started after the redownload NONE of the textures would load at all so i was wandering around and nothing had a color or texture so it looked like i was in nowhere, i've made sure i have a 64bit version of java. When i look at the modlist to see if something's wrong, all non-working mods say "metadata not found" by them. I tried looking this up earlier, and all of the responses were "oh it doesnt matter if it says that, it'll still work." Obviously not.

Error Messages:

None i think? I'm not sure?

Error Log:

Am i supposed to put the launcher log here?

http://pastebin.com/PXKVWUEa That's a link to the launcher log. I didnt really know whether i was just supposed to put that entire gigantic post on here or not.

i don't know specifically because i don't even know half the mods i have, but i know for a fact that the animals mod isn't working because none of the spawners are showing up in the inventory.

One should also note that now all hints of a modlist has disappeared completely from the current running instance of tekkit, and all instances i've tried starting afterwards, except for the item subsets bar at the top of the inventory screen. This was after the...third time the technic launcher has updated today. Changing the render distance doesn't really seem to change anything...nope, wait, now even more of my items have disappeared. Now the big sidebar on the right that lists all the items only has 38 pages.

On a side note, when i said everything was fog, i meant none of the textures had loaded for anything. Even on the smallest render distance i can still see the ground for several feet in front of me. The only thing that was visible THEN was when i tried hitting a tree i could see the cracking animation, but it was clear too.

Spawners not showing up may mean NEI is broken, or it's just configured not to show them. Try installing OptiFine Standard - the version that comes with Technic sometimes messes up with rendering.
