World Deleted

I created a new world after not playing for several months. Had a memory leak after an hour of continuous play, restarted and it was fixed. After another couple of hours, not straight, the game crashed. I assumed it was the memory link and relaunched the game. The world didn't appear when i tried to load it, so I quit the game and looked in the saves file. The world was still there. Was there a key file that got deleted or something? Why won't it appear?
