friend cant connect to server

Description of Problem:

i have made a tekkit server using hamachi and my friend is connected to my hamachi. however when he tries to log onto the sevrer it says he cant connect and its unavailable even if i am on the server already.

any help with be much appreciated. thank you.

Do you have a firewall or antivirus software in place? Or does he?

i just asked and he does, what should i do? tell him to change his firewall settings?

Pretty much, yeah. Without more detail and knowledge of the firewall, nobody's going to be able to recommend anything beyond that. Double-check your computer for one as well.
