Shadow_wolf Posted July 24, 2012 Posted July 24, 2012 Before I get started, I do have the latest version of Java and my firewall settings are disabled. About a week ago I started a Tekkit Hamachi server just so my friends and I can play together. I've have been able to connect to it perfectly fine but whenever I have another out of the area test it, it either says "Can't reach server" or "Can't resolve hostname". They are in my hamachi network and it does have a direct tunnel. If anyone one can help that would be fantastic. Thanks you! P.S. I'm a noob with technical terms so if you could explain the best you can that would help. Also thanks A LOT to those people out there that have been having the same problem then just say "I fixed it! " Thanks again
Torezu Posted July 25, 2012 Posted July 25, 2012 This is very frequently an antivirus or firewall interfering on one end or the other.
Shadow_wolf Posted July 27, 2012 Author Posted July 27, 2012 My friend though does not have a firewall and mine was disabled for the process. Antivirus? Never heard of that interfering....
Torezu Posted July 27, 2012 Posted July 27, 2012 Hamachi network adapter priority can also play havoc with Hamachi connections.
