Technic Launcher Fails To Start Up

Launcher Version: 1.0.1.0

Operating System: Microsoft XP Professional

Java Version: JavaFX 2.1.1

Antivirus Program: AVG

Description of Problem:

After downloading the TechnicLauncher.exe The 'checking launcher version' will flash for a second and then nothing will happen, no outcome i have tried to re install Java, Run as an administrator yet nothing is working.

After playing around a message has popped up saying 'Technic Launcher.exe-.NET Framework Intialization error, unable to find a version of the runtime to run this application.

Some one please help me out here!

You don't have Java installed correctly, most likely. JavaFX is a side program. You should be seeing Java 7u5, probably 32-bit for your OS but may be 64-bit.

Side note: AVG will eventually screw you over. I'd get rid of it in favor of a better free AV. Try MSE.

Okay thank you for the advice! How can i manage to install it correctly? Remove Java then Download it from their website?

That would be how I'd do it, yes. Make sure you're getting the right bit version for your OS.

Ah. Just read your other one. Yeah, remove the Java 6 version. Then I'd try downloading the .jar version of the launcher and running that (either double-click it or right-click > Run with Java). The .exe version doesn't like 32-bit Java sometimes.

Thankyou! That problem is solved! Yet, when try to log in, the message pops up saying unable to authenticate account with minecraft.net, and it wont let me play offline, yet i have used my account on a different computer using the technic launcher, and i do have a account, im connected to the internet, whats going wrong?

Try your email and password rather than your Minecraft username. If that doesn't work, delete your lastlogin file and re-enter your name/pw.

As well as stopping my anti virus and firewall, it still does not allow me to connect
