Description of Problem:

IC2 plays all of it's machine sounds but there is no other sound at all. Not all the vanilla minecraft sounds can be heard, or the wind for the turbines; turbines can be heard though. I can hear water and lava, and when I fall or I get damaged. The main sound missing is for running and blocks being destroyed as well as the environmental such as wind and mobs.

*PARTIALLY FIXED*

Matmos was failing to download and install correctly. By pressing "Login" again when the download failed it seems to have skipped the Matmos download and done the rest. However there is still no vanilla music or enviromental sound, such as wind.

I had the exact same problem with a fresh install of Tekkit.

Vanilla sound is easy - Just update your regular Minecraft to a recent version, then copy the sound files into the .techniclauncher\tekkit\resources\mod in Roaming.

Matmos is not so easy however - So far I haven't been able to fix it, I'm in the process of reinstalling currently, and will update my findings.
