Download freezes and crashes at low %.

Description of Problem:

When I try to download/install tekkit it always freezes and crashed at a low percentage. And the same thing happens when I update minecraft(I use minecraft.net browser mode to update now.)

Error Messages:

None, just freezes when downloading.

Your firewall is on, and you're wondering why the downloads aren't working?

Disabled it, now it boosted the freezing point to 18%...

It could be that minecraft.net is really busy from the 1.3 update...I don't see any other reason the minecraft.jar download would be stopping your pack download(s).

Ill just wait a couple days then. Any way to just get the jar myself and put it in tekkit's "temp" folder so it just has to install the mods?

Tried it, didn't work. Im just gonna mess around with the files and stuff. I got to 40% By clearing my cache and then deleting the temp folder and remaking it.

Did you try the .jar version of the launcher? I know this may not be related, but sometimes it solves strange problems.

Also trying to remove all other java versions except the latest one

I tried lots of things, none worked.

-Went into firewall advamved settings and allowed anything java related

-Ran everything as an admin

-Disabled firewall

-Uninstalled all other extra java's

Itd be nice if someone could just hand me their tekkit folder or something.
