AniDanny Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 I've set up a server, I know my static IP address, but I can't find any way of tracking what port it's using to allow my friends to connect to it. I've found dozens of guides on setting up servers, but not a single one that addresses what number to give other people so they can log in. Is there a command I can put into the server window that will show me, or is there a default, or...? Quote
AniDanny Posted August 1, 2012 Author Posted August 1, 2012 Okay, nevermind. I found the default port in the server properties as 25565. But that didn't work. Maybe because the server doesn't know whether it's running tekkit or hack/mine or something else? If anyone can point me to a guide that explains how to actually CONFIGURE a server, not just "here's how to turn it on, that's all", that would be awesome. Also - PLEASE don't suggest hamachi. Quote
AniDanny Posted August 1, 2012 Author Posted August 1, 2012 AHA! I figured it out. I just needed to tinker with the server properties a bit. I could still use a pointer on how to toggle between hosting Tekkit or hosting Hack/Mine (or hosting anything else in technic that is multiplayer?), but aside from that I think I've got it. :D Quote
