Friend can't select tekkit

Launcher Version: 7.26|1.2.5 (according to options in technic)

Operating System: Toshiba Laptop. If this isn't an operating sytem feel free to think i'm stupid.

Java Version: 32 bit

Description of Problem:

My friend is being lazy and won't post his problem, but in the technic launcher, when he clicks tekkit in the drop-down, it crashes. He has tried this 5 times. The computer he uses is a toshiba laptop and he can run all other options just fine.

Error Messages:

None. Window automatically closes.

I, and pretty much everyone else here, refuse to troubleshoot by proxy. If a reinstall or new launcher isn't fixing it, get your friend to do his own work.
