I've recently downloaded BDCraft for Tekkit, using 1.2.5 tekkit textures, but 1.3 vanilla textures. After playing for a few seconds/minutes, Tekkit will freeze indefinitely. Is this the cause of the problem?

The cause of your problem, right now, is posting in the wrong place. Use the bug board, or maybe the texture pack section, even though it's not really for bugs.
