(The "Tekkit Version" dropdown menu didn't have 3.1.2)
I've been lurking on the forums for quite a while, and there are no topics since 3.0.4 that have found the solution to the problem I'm having.
I've been getting a lot of lag spikes on my Tekkit server (hosted by fluctishosting.com). I'm not getting any error messages (that I'm aware of), except the very unhelpful one posted below.
The lag spikes occur after 1-2 hours after starting the server, and while it's only using less than half of the allocated RAM (1Gig).
So this is what I've done:
- Obvious routines, like checking for morons.
- Disabled all plugins (listed below).
- Started a fresh map.
- Installed a fresh copy of the server software.
- Spoken with the fluctis support, which confirmed it's not the hardware, but something inside Tekkit.
- Checking for corrupted chunks with Fenixin's region fixer.
- Done an entity count with NoLagg (nothing unusual).
- Checked the chunk sending rate with NoLagg during a spike.
Plugins:
- BKCommonLib
- NoLagg
- EasySlimeChunkLocator
- ExactSpawn
- TreeAssist
I should probably mention that It's normally just 1-3 people online at the same time, which the hardware over at Fluctis /w 1Gig of RAM should be more than good enough to handle.
Also, I removed EE completely from the server.
Does anyone know a solution to this? I'm possibly soon making the server public, so I'd like to fix this issue ASAP.
Error Messages:
[WARNING] Can't keep up! Did the system time change, or is the server overloaded?
