I have 16 gigs of ram and am not a stranger with computers. I had a nice chunk of that ram allocated to running Java/Tekkit. I have been playing Minecraft for a few years and been play Tekkit for about half a month, not once has Minecraft ever run out of memory. I was playing on my Tekkit server, when suddenly, I began getting FPS lag, and Minecraft ran out of memory, for the first time ever. After that, Tekkit will not join any game, or start single player. It gets to the Minecraft main screen, but when I try to play, it gives me a black screen and freezes for about 20 seconds, before the screen goes white, and lets me click the X. After trying to close it, it takes about another 20 seconds before it actually does close. I'm running Tekkit with no texture packs or anything, and I have even tried going to my appdata tekkit folder, deleting it, and completely reinstalling tekkit. Samething happens. I tried reinstalling Java, both 32x and 64x, same thing happens. I restarted my computer, same thing happens. No one else is having problems connecting to the server, either.
