Version: 3.1.2

OS: Mac OS X Version 10.5.8

Java Version: 1.6

Description of Problem:

MY MAC:

RAM 4GB

2.0GHZ DUAL CORE

MY SERVER:

RAM 2GB

2.0GHZ DUAL CORE (WINDOWS XP)

I opened the launcher and was informed there was an update. I click update and with out looking at what build I was using I clicked login. I turned my server on (I believe it was the last version 3.04 or something, I just downloaded the tekkit server 2 weeks ago), and the server started up without a hiccop. I went to go into my server from minecraft and was told I am missing a bunch of mods. So I went to the site and download the tekkit server 3.1.2 and sat there confused. I don't know what todo and when I click on the new batch file, I get the heap error and closes out. I would like to keep my old world from the past version if possible. Or is there a way to play on the older version of client and server.

Copy your world folder out, back up any config files you want to save, and wipe the server directory (making a backup of the whole thing isn't a horrible idea). Then unzip the server files into the new, clean directory, copy the world file back in, run the server, save and exit, and do the configuration as you wish. If that doesn't work, post here.

Server files are still available on the Tekkit page for 3.0.4, fyi.

the same is happening to me… I would like to ask if there is any way that somebody could post a link to the old tekkit launcher for 3.1.1 because I have kept my server for 3.1.1

The new Technic launcher will allow you to install 3.1.1 just fine. You just have to select it manually.
