Launcher Version: 1.0.1.3

Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premium x64

Java Version: 7.0.50

Antivirus Program:

Description of Problem:

When I launch Tekkit (or any other modpack) I have a allocation of 247MB of RAM. I have changed the amount of RAM in the launcher options, still 247MB in game. RAM should be a problem for me, I have 8GB of it. I've tried launching it from a .bat file and that works great but its not my GPU that processes it, its the integrated graphics. I just need a way to increase the memory allocation without using a .bat file.

Processor: IntelĀ® Core i7-3610QM CPU @ 2.30GHz, 2301 Mhz, 4 Core(s), 8 Logical Processor(s)

GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GT 630M

Memory: 8 gigs

Yes. You accidentally installed and are using 32-bit Java. Remove it, and install the 64-bit version. Then, go into your NVIDIA Control Panel, and tell it to use the GPU on Minecraft, Java, and the launcher. Voila!

I've already done that, still 247MB.

This issue shows up when you're trying to allocate more memory than you have free. How much are you trying to use, and what other programs do you have running at the same time?

Does the launcher allow you to allocate more than that 1536MB? If not, you're still using 32-bit Java. Oh, and there's an edit button - no need to double post.
