Operating System: Windows Vista 64bit (yeah i know)

Description of Problem:
After i reinstalled my Windows vista 64bit OS, i cannot alocate more than 1500 MB of ram in the launcher. Before i reinstalled it, i could go up to 4GB. So anyone know what changed? I did look at some other threads with the same problem, but they all say that i have to install av 64bit OS, which im certain i have (computer -> properties -> Windows Vista 64bit.
