Technic Launcher doesn't finish.

Description of Problem:

When I open the technic launcher, it gets to the login screen, and I log in fine and everything starts loading. A few seconds later when the loadings are done ( I'm guessing ) it just closes down and doesn't open up the actual game. I've seen people saying disable your anti-virus but, the mac I'm trying to download it on is roughly 7 days old, and I haven't installed any anti-virus programs on it. I'm not sure if it comes with any, or if it does, how I would go about shutting them off.
