The launcher can't find som file

Description of Problem:

The launcher throws an error telling me it can't find some file. The file name is not specified. The .techniclauncher contains a file name techniclauncher.jar. The window is stuck at Checking Launcher Version with an empty progress bar.

I can just double click on the technic-launcher.jar, but the exe doesn't work

Remove all traces of Java, and reinstall the bit-appropriate version of Java 7u5. Then restart. If that still doesn't work, post a better bug report. With pictures, since your description of the error is lacking somewhat.

I have the same problem and this is the whole error message. I only have JDK installed but technicaly this should not be a problem, system/enviroment - variables are allso set correctly.

runing from technic-launcher.jar is also no problem.

The JDK is not for running Java programs. It's for making them. Go get the right version of the JRE.

If it's not the same error as the OP, why did you post in here? That'd be threadjacking, a most vile offense in these parts! That's also clearly not the whole error message, as there's a scroll bar on the right side. I can't do anything because you didn't describe the problem well enough, nor provide enough information to troubleshoot.
