TechnicLauncher.exe not working

Launcher Version: 1.0.1.0

Operating System: Windows 7 x64 Proffesional

Java Version: Jre7 x64

Antivirus Program: Microsoft Security Essentials

Description of Problem:

Launching 'TechnicLauncher.exe' produces installation window, then nothing. Repeated launches produces version check window, then nothing

'AppData\Roaming\.techniclauncher' contains only a .jar file, but unable to launch it with java.exe only produces empty cmd window for less than a second then nothing

Error Messages:

None

Error Log:


No logs in event viewer pertaining to this problem.

.techniclauncher/logs folder non-existent

I had this same issue at first. Try running as administrator. For me, it would download the launcher if needed, or just say

Checking Launcher Version
and close out instantly. Hope this helps.

EDIT: Oh, and if you don't have anything in your .techniclauncher folder than we are in the same boat.
