Launcher Version: I believe 3.1 or 3.1.2 newest one on website
Operating System: Windows 7 64 bit Ultimate
Java Version: Java 7 64 bit
Antivirus Program: Avira (its disabled)
Description of Problem:
I was having the problem where the launcher wouldnt open, it would just say it updated real quick then after that whenever you tried to open it, it said "Checking Launcher Version"
So I looked at a couple answered questions and did this.
I went into
%appdata%
roaming
.techniclauncher
right clicked the jar file and did open with Java Platform SE Binary and it opened and worked perfectly. So I was happy and went and my my own Tekkit server which is working perfectly.
But in the process of doing that I closed the launcher and now I cant open it back up. I do open as and click the Java thing and a black DOS screen pops up for a second then goes away.
I would really like to play on my server so any help is appreciated, it seems like this was only happening to Windows XP users but me too I guess.
