Launcher frozen on logo screen

Operating System: windows 7 64 bit

Java Version: 7u5 64 bit

Antivirus Program: Microsoft security essentials

Description of Problem:

whenever I try to use the technic launcher is gets frozen on the white logo screen, I then have to end the java process via task manager. I have made sure my java is 64 and updated, I have tried disabling my firewall, microsoft security essentials, creating bat files, running the .jar instead of the .exe, and downloading the server software and renaming the launcher.

I have determined that there is something that is preventing technic pack from accessing the internet. normal minecraft is running fine, however when I try to set up a minecraft server and connect using localhost, the server cannot authenticate my account and thus i cannot log in

Same here. Download problem... Freeze on launcher logo, and it's pissing me off. I'll let you know if i fix :)

Sam: Windows Firewall can do this. Do you have any other security software (or hardware, if it's your router) running?

i have this problem too, i have posted before in a thread but we never managed to solve it. Standard minecraft still works but tekkit does not open and gets stuck on the title screen. There is a problem with some servers at the moment i think meaning no one, not even the admin can join, it is a problem with coding or something apparently, i don't know if that is relevant here? As soon as this happened to my server it happened to the technic launcher. (sorry if i'm completely wrong, it could just be a crazy coincidence)

have the same problem. tryed to reinstal tekkit 4times but still it frezze after logo screen.

this problem only appers when i add my mods(that i need to open the server)

its Forestry that makes my screen freeze when i try to log in.

if i just log on without any mods it works fine.

It would be nice for an update about this, I am having this same problem. Oh and i did look at the common problems thread, and have searched nearly all posts in this forum with nothing working. Works on my other computer with same OS and Java....

Just want to say i fixed my problem.

There was a update on the latest , that made my screen frezze every time after logo.

What i did was ignoring that update and now its working fine.

Hope that can help some of you ppl to.

Cant remember the name but will post it when i log in, in about 8h
