my tekkit wont update

ok so the 1.3 version came out and i was asked to update and it failed and now it has stopped asking me to update, I have tried to reinstall the launcher but that didn't work help ?

If you are hosting the server, you have to download the newest server update here and followed the detailed instructions on how to update your server. http://www.technicpack.net/tekkit/

If you are just playing on a server, make sure you have the correct build selected (you can check by clicking the "options" button when you first start up the Technic Launcher).
