GinkoG Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 After finishing up my quarry, It is filled up with water. I know their's a way to remove it, but i just can't remember which pipes and if I can just use a regular pump. Any help?
The_DarthMoogle Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 Just use a normal pump, power it with an engine, and have waterproof pipes (no wooden one required) sending the water over to a bunch of tanks. Or, borrow a volcanite amulet off someone, and press 'c' to remove all the water in the local area. :D

Ah, thought I saw someone do it another way with just a pump and some very thin pipes, and the only way I can borrow an amulet is if it "borrow" it from too many items :/ aw well then guess ill just have to make the ring
The_DarthMoogle Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 The pump creates its own pipes down to the water when it's powered by an engine. It's a useful thing to have.

Dystopix Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 I think what you are referring to is a red power pump? I've seen that used to drain water from one area and pour it into another. It's fairy buggy though but perhaps worth a try! I don't have more specific details though! Sorry! Good luck.
Freeman1312 Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 Yup he's talking about a RP fluid pipe and pump.but if I remember correctly i think the BC pump is cheaper than the RP one.Not sure though.
The_DarthMoogle Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 The RedPower pipes are cheaper, but the pump to go with it is more expensive and laborous to build. Also, that system actually transports and deposits liquid source blocks elsewhere, so you need to think about that.
Freeman1312 Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 sorry cause i have never use the RP pump soooo lol :3
GreenWolf13 Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 I'd use a RP pump, as the buildcraft ones aren't good for draining. RP ones actually can drain an infinte water pool.
