NEI not opening

Title: NEI not opening

Version: 3.1.2

OS: windows xp

Java Version: java 32bit

Description of Problem:

was playing on the server and my friend told me to press o to look at recipes and such when i tried i only got the data values beside the block but no interface. i do not have a texture pack. however when i hover above the block and press r i get recipes. but only how to make the block not what the block makes

Your on Recipe Mode. If you want the "Cheat" and get rid of the fun then go to your Inventory, Options, then where it says Recipe mode, press it until it says Cheat Mode.

i dont want cheat mode i want the interface i tried going to cheat mode and it still didn't pop up so i went back to recipe, the blocks at the side just wont pop up

The 'u' key is for where the item is used.

thanks Torezu, but that is only a short term solution i still want the interface

I figured out what the problem was, i had my GUI set to auto and it made it too big so NEI wouldnt show up

a mod can close this now
