Whenever I open the launcher it tells me I'm missing <jnlp>

Launcher Version: Current, 64-bit

Operating System: Windows 8 Build 8400

Java Version: 7, Current

Antivirus Program: Avast

Description of Problem:

Actually I kind of have two problems. The first one is that whenever I open the TechnicLauncher on my desktop it just checks the launcher version and then does nothing.

So I went into my .techniclauncher folder and found the TechnicLauncher.jar, and opened it with java. It then proceeded to give me an error message.

Also there is nothing but the techniclauncher.jar in the .techniclauncher folder.

Error Messages:

Windows 8? -.- I am used to helping people with Windows 7 or Mac. Sorry but you can't play Technic with Windows 8.

Actually, I is fine to play technic on windows 8 preview, still have white screen the moment technic or tekkit starts up on 8 full release though.
