linuxwarz Posted August 19, 2012 Posted August 19, 2012 Hello All, I am running a tekkit server which seems to be using way too much bandwidth per player. I've went and changed a few things and it seemed to help... for 24hrs. view-distance=7 NoLagg installed Please view my bandwidth graphs here: http://imgur.com/a/mMvP4 1 player seems to be about 1.7mbit, 2 players is roughly 3mbit. On a dedi server with 95th percentile billing, this is pretty unacceptable. Is this normal usage for tekkit? Any idea why it would work fine with 2-3 players constant for 24hr and then stop working? Thanks! [EDIT] Plugins: BKCommonLib v1.22.jar EssentialsChat.jar Essentials.jar EssentialsProtect.jar EssentialsSpawn.jar NoLagg.jar PermissionsBukkit.jar WorldEdit.jar
The_DarthMoogle Posted August 19, 2012 Posted August 19, 2012 That is obscene. If you use host elsewhere, go change to a different service. Average per player should be 0.3Mb/s up and down. Feel free to challenge that folks, I no longer host a server.
linuxwarz Posted August 20, 2012 Author Posted August 20, 2012 I just noticed that its a bug with my ISP graph and the two graphs don't match. They've acknowledged it. When you run the math, my graph supports your claim of 0.3Mb/s per player. This can be closed.
