JunkyPic Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 I'm sure there are a lot of experienced server admins on this site, and me, as a newbie wanted to ask you guys before I go spending money on a hosting site.I want to host a Tekkit server, with little to no plugins(the only one that I would like to install is Essentials, other than that, nothing), pure SMP. So here are my questions: 1. What should I look for to begin with in a host? RAM over CPU? Bandwidth? Internet Speed offered? 2. How much RAM is recommended per player? 3. What should I avoid in a hosting site? 4. What is the minimum recommended server configuration for a, let's say, 15 people server? 5. Could anybody suggest a site that they have had the pleasure of working with in the past which left a good impression on them? 6. Given that in the future I'd want to install other plugins, which ones should I avoid? Thank you for your time. Quote
