Launcher Version: 1.0.1.3

Operating System: Windows Vista x64

Java Version: 7

Antivirus Program: Norton 360

Description of Problem:

So I attempted to install mystcraft onto the technic pack, but there were some item ID conflicts. I still have my technicssp folder on my desktop if needed. Then I deleted my technicssp folder in my .techniclauncher folder because it should download it, I could move my saves back in and we would all be happy campers. Instead, the update starts, finishes minecraft.jar, and then it pauses for a second and then a popup appears and says ,"Update failed!" I have no clue what to do, because it should update and get all the technic stuff back without a problem. I have also uninstalled java 6, tried to download without my Norton firewall on, and redownloaded the launcher.

Yup, you will more than likely need to ditch Norton, because that always gets in the way, even when it says it's disabled.

I can heartily recommend Avast! for everyday surfing and protection, and SpybotS&D for some serious specialist stuff. Both are totally free.

Why would Norton be acting up now? I had it when I installed the launcher and technic pack and it didn't cause any problems....

Well, this is very odd. I completely turned all of the features in norton off, and tried to download technic. I can DL all the builds above the only one that is compatible with my save, which is in 1.1 and I think is 6.0.7. Now I think that this is a problem with the 1.1 downloads, because any version above 1.1 I have no trouble downloading.
