Loads on 32 bit java but not 64 bit

Description of Problem:

With 32 bit java I can run it no problems until I get into a cluttered area (jungle biome/lots of other players), run out of memory and crash.

If I uninstall 32 java and put 64 on and go to run the launcher it flickers a few times then I am brought to a white screen where you would normally pick your pack and sign in. I can also hover over where you type in the username and password but I cannot access the game.

I think I've cleared up the issue. I am inclined to believe it was my Playclaw overlays (recording program) and this isn't the first time it's been causing trouble...
