Render Distance not working

Hey guys

I have a problem with my render distance on tekkit when I play online or SP. If I put it on

tiny, I still have the render distance on Far. My computer is a 32-bit so it will fast run out of memory with the FAR-setting. Any help for how to change the render distance bug?

Turn Render Far off in the Video Options menu somewhere. Performance, I think?

I always have this setting.
