LadyGrelka Posted October 30, 2015 Posted October 30, 2015 I have found that Minecraft runs better on the Technic launcher then just running the game the 'normal' way, so I was wondering if there is a way to add custom maps/worlds to the launcher or if it has to be a modpack. For example if I wanted to run 'The Hunt for the Sky Gardens' that I got from curse.com would I be able to? I know that in order to run it (or other custom maps) in 'normal' Minecraft I just stick it in the saves folder in the Minecraft directory, but with Technic each modpack has its own folder with each of those modpacks having its very own save folder. Any help would be great, thanks!
xen2xen1 Posted November 14, 2015 Posted November 14, 2015 I don't think the launcher does just maps... Techincally, you could make a "modpack" that does nothing but load a saved world. It just unzips what you put in a zip. IE, if you make a zip with: \saves\MyGreatMap inside it, including the directory, it would just unzip that file and throw night but that saved world into a fresh Minecraft build. Modstechnically are not required, I believe.
