Pump doesn't work

Hi, we just started to play tekkit and I have built a pump at first for oil.

For this I have made a pump like it is described here: http://wiki.industrial-craft.net/index.php?title=Pump

and put a chest next to it, so it has a container to put the cells in.

then I put a empty cell in the item slot and powered it with a battery.

The pump started to pump, but when it was full it didn't fill the empty cell.

What have I done wrong?

Oil can't be put into cells - it's from BuildCraft rather than IC2, so you'd be wanting to use the BC pump and send it through BC pipes into Tanks.
