Moving world from Minecraft to Tekkit?

Hi,

We have been using our own minecraft server (vanilla?) and have now setup a tekkit server (latest). Is it possible to copy our world from the minecraft server to the tekkit server?

I am assuming it is not because of all the mods but it would be nice to be able to save the world that we have created. I think this is possible with a bukkit server.

Not really, your world won't generate any of the new ores, it'll cause chunk corruption, and lot's of nasty stuff.

What you CAN do, is import your buildings in your old save to a newly generated Tekkit one using WorldEdit.

I thought that would be the case but just wanted to check.
