Can't join servers, they require 'tubestuff'

Antivirus Program: Avast!

Description of Problem:

Whenever I try to join a server on Tekkit, it gives me an error reading "This server requires TubeStuff." I have tried redownloading 3.1.2, downgrading to 3.1.1, deleting my tekkit folder, and it won't go away. How do I fix this?

you have a duck in your computer (obviously). you will need to call your computer manufacturer for help in removing it.

That server has 3.1.1, if it's giving you that message. You need to completely wipe your .techniclauncher\tekkit folder and reinstall, manually selecting Tekkit 3.1.1. Save your waypoints if you have any, and any SSP worlds you want to keep. It's either that, encourage the server owner to update to 3.1.2, or find a different server.

As I said in my original post, I already DID wipe my tekkit folder and install 3.1.1.

I told you, you have a duck in your computer. You will need to remove it soon or it will start breeding.

Double-check that wipe and install then, and do it with a new copy of the launcher. Done properly, that's exactly what you need to do: completely remove your tekkit folder and install 3.1.1 manually. If it gives you the same message, you didn't do it right.
