Operating System: Windows 7 home premium, Laptop, Compaq Presario CQ62
Java Version: Version 6; then reinstalled to version 7
Antivirus Program: AVG Antivirus
Description of Problem:
I used to have hs_err pid crashes so i looked on the forms and I found out i had two versions of java. I uninstalled both of them and then reinstalled java version 7 update 7. Technic must have been relying on java 6, because now it can't find the directory! I would double click the launcher and the "checking for updates" box would show up, but instead of the login menu i get a small error box that says "Cannot Find java directory." I looked this up also, and it said to delete everything in my \.Technicpack folder. I did this, and it instead of installing it still gives me the directory error! Please help
EDIT: I also just deleted the whole Technicpack directory folder in roaming and the launcher. I still get the error.
EDIT 2: Solved, there were empty "jre 6" folders from where i uninstalled java six. I deleted them and now technic is relying on jre7
