Fusion reactor is not working...

Hi

I build a fusion reactor. To start the reactor I have to provide it one time with energy, right? So I connect my wire with the bottom side of the reactor and a coal generator but nothing happens... Am I doing something wrong or is it a bug?

Do you have deuterium in it?

Do you have electromagnets, water, and steam turbines around it?
