the launcher freezes

Launcher Version: the latest one

Operating System: i dont know my operating system because i dont know how to check it

Java Version: version 7 update 7

Antivirus Program: trend micro

Description of Problem:

when i download the technic launcher off of technicpack.net it saves onto pictures and when i click open it shows the "technic launcher " logo and dose nothing from there. it also get in front of the screen but i can see around it.

I'm having the same problem. I even disabled my firewalls and reinstalled Java. all that happens when I open the launcher the the "technic launcher" logo stays there and nothing happens.
