cant get the launcher to connect or run

Launcher Version: latest as of yesterday, tried to down load again today and the download stalls

Operating System: Win7 home premium

Java Version: You have the recommended Java installed (Version 7 Update 7).

Antivirus Program: agv

Description of Problem:

launcher will not connect, now it says cant find java directory

tried to download new launcher exe and that stall, so cant delete and rerun

all was OK yesterday booted pc this morning and it stopped working

my internet up and i can access www and download files

the file i used yesterday is 956 bytes (956 bytes)

today's download 51.5 KB (52,736 bytes)

both .exe complaining

cant find java directory

java check using

www.java.com/en/download/installed.jsp

i have deleted and re added java to see if that was the issue no resolution

deleted the .techniclauncher file

it get rebuilt but still complained 'cant find java directory'

ok got the issue resolved using this youtub for help

once the

.techniclauncher file was deleted, i re run technic-launcher.exe and it created one file in the dir

technic-launcher.jar

running this file did all the downloads and built up the tree structure

selected a version added login in and working

ok can get it working after a fashon but now i need to use the

technic-launcher.jar

file to launch

the technic-launcher.exe still complaining about no java directory

for info i had run this patch

mcpatcher-2.4.2_01

to fix issues i had running texture packs

i tried un- installing it and problem still persists

it look like the issue was java

if i manualy install 64 bit Java the launcher works

if i use oracle checker it see no Java and installs 32 bit java
