Sound won't work with any modpacks. [SOLVED]

Antivirus Program: AVG (version 2012.0.2197)

Description of Problem:

The sound will not work with any modpacks launched from the Technic launcher. Vanilla minecraft sounds work fine, it's only when I play modpacks.

Yo, you should totally delete your resources folder next time you run the game.

Oh, and swap AVG out for a man's Anti-Virus, like Avast!

(AVG doesn't like the launcher)

I did try deleting the resources folder and it didn't do anything. I forgot to mention, by the way, that some sounds do work. IC machines work, and the sound when you tread on tainted ground works, but no much else.

Would the anti-virus software really affect the sounds?

Okay, I changed AV software to Avast and deleted the resource folder before playing and the sound now works.
