Out of memory! please help

ME and my friend have been playing with technic for a short while now, but for some reason in the middle of playing it keeps saying i have run out of memory, but i hae 4GB of ram set to java please help

My friend is having the exact same problem when he joins our private tekkit server (run off my computer) We have tried increasing the allocated ram to no effect.

Operating System: win7
